FORMER RESIDENT OF BLOOMINGTON DIES
Bertrand "Bert" Heber Nelson 64, of Lewiston Utah, a former Bloomington resident, died March 10 at Ogden. He was born June 2, 1893 at Bryce Arizona, the son of A Heber and Elizabeth Jarvis Nelson. A retired farmer and sheep man, Mr. Nelson lived at Bloomington until 1953 when he moved to Ogden and later to Lewiston. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Mr. Nelson and Luzelle Leavitt were married May 15, 1914 at Paris. Later the marriage was solemnized in the LDS Temple Logan. Besides his widow, he is survived by seven children, Guy B, Ray E and Keith L Nelson, all of Ogden, Richard H Nelson of Oakland; Mrs. June Gordon, now serving on a teacher mission with her husband and family at Frankton Junction, New Zealand; Mrs. Vonda Iverson of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Joyce DeHart of Ogden. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother W J Nelson of Ogden; and four sisters, Mrs. C E Grimes and Mrs. W W Bartschi, both of Montpelier, Mrs. Clem Humpherys of Paris and Mrs. Paul J Haddock of Bloomington.
Funeral services were held today (Thursday) in
the LDS Chapel at Lewiston.
