FORMER MONTPELIER RESIDENT DIES
Bertha M Montague, 61, former Montpelier resident, died Saturday at a Blackfoot hospital. She was born July 18, 1897 at Preston, the daughter of Theodore A and Bertha Lamoereaux Montague. She married Samuel Lucherini in 1920 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. One daughter was born to the union. On June 18, 1930 she married Louis C Montague in the LDS Temple Salt Lake City. Two sons were born to this union. LeGrande preceding her in death.
Mrs. Montague moved to Montpelier following her second marriage. She was active in the LDS church, serving as teacher, organist and chorister. She was president of the second ward Relief Society. She also belonged to the DUP. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. G W (Norma) Tueller of Graden Grove California; a son Wendell G Montague of Logan; three brothers and a sister, Dee Montague of Nampa; Russell Montague of Glenns Ferry; Lionel Montague and Mrs. Winima Myers both of Pocatello.
Services were to be held at ? pm today (Thursday) in the Montpelier LDS second ward chapel with burial in Preston.
