The new city administration took formal charge of the reins of government Wednesday night, at which time council met in regular session with Mayor Gough. The Mayor submitted the following appointments:

Chief of Police and ex-officio Overseer of Streets-Byron Nelson
Night Police-Fergus Brown
Attorney-Charles E Harris
Physician-Dr. Poynter
Chief of Fire Department-A E Thiel
Building Inspector-Joseph McCart
Sexton of Cemetery-Fred Sarbach

An ordinance creating a cemetery fund for the upkeep and improvements of the City Cemetery of the City of Montpelier, Idaho. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of Montpelier. Passed and approved this 7th day of April 1915. A B GOUGH, Mayor; Attest: Thomas Barrett, Clerk

Aurelian Bruce Gough was born 31 Jan 1865 in Graves County, Kentucky, the son of William R Gough and Rispah E White. He served as Mayor until 1915 when Thomas Sneddon became mayor. He married Katherine Jones 21 Dec 1910 in Montpelier.

He died 23 March 1942 and was buried in the Montpelier Cemetery.
