Mrs. Isaac Tunks, age 81 years, died Christmas Eve in this city
at the home of her son, Sam V Tunks. Deceased was a native of Denmark and
came to the United States when a young girl. She made her home in Ovid
from 1885 up to the past few years when she has resided in Montpelier. Her
husband died in Ovid eight years ago.
Her only survivors are two sons, Sam V and Sebe Tunks, both of whom reside in Montpelier. Funeral services with be held tomorrow at the Ovid LDS Chapel and interment will be made in the Ovid Cemetery.

Old age and general debility claimed the life of Annie Marie Tunks, Christmas Eve, Dec 24 at the home of her son Sam V Tunks. Mrs. Tunks was born in Denmark 81 years ago and was the daughter of Peter and Kristen Larsen. The family came to Salt Lake when she was a young girl and later came to Bear Lake county, settling in the Ovid district in the early sixtys.
Mrs. Tunks spent the most of her time in Salt Lake until 1886 when she was married and came to Ovid to reside. Mrs. Tunks resided at Ovid almost continuously until about ten years ago when she came to Montpelier and has resided here with her sons since. She was preceded in death by her husband about ten years. She is survived by two sons, Sam V and Seba R Tunks and six grandchildren.
Services will be held this afternoon at 1:30 at the Ovid meeting house, and burial will be at the cemetery at that place.
