Andrew Johnson of Ovid, Passed Away on Thanksgiving
By the death of Andrew Johnson, which occurred at his home in Ovid, Thursday night, Nov 25 at eight o'clock, Bear Lake Valley has lost another one of its pioneers. Death was caused by blood poisoning resulting from a slight injury on the leg. Mr. Johnson was born in Denmark Mya 4, 1860. He accepted the Mormon faith when quite young and came to this country about 41 years ago. He joined the pioneer colony at Paris 40 years ago. He remained there one year and then settled in Ovid, where he has resided every since.
Mr. Johnson had always been a faithful worker in the church and about eight years ago he left his family to go and preach the gospel for two years in his native land. Deceased is survived by a widow and 13 children, all of whom were at his bedside at the time of his death. Owing to repairs that wer being in the Ovid meeting house, his funeral services were held in the Ovid school house last Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Hundreds of friends from Ovid and adjoining settlements gathered to pay their last respects to the one whom they had known and respected for so many years.

Estate of Andrew Johnson, deceased, Notice is hereby given by the undersigned adminstratrix of the estate of Andrew Johnson, deceased, to the creditors of and all persons having claims against the said deceased, to exhibit them, with the necessary vouchers, within four months after the first publication of this notice, to the said administratrix at Ovid in the County of Bear Lake Idaho.
