The Paris Post, Friday, 12 February 1909, page 1

It was sad news that came from Paris on Monday, announcing the passing away of Mrs. Amanda Allred. She was a resident of St Charles for many years and with her husband were guests of honor at the old folks party.

Page 4-Sister Amanda Allred, wife of M A Allfred of the First Ward of this city (Paris) died Monday afternoon from the effects of a paralytic stroke. The funeral was held in the ward meeting house yesterday at 11 o'clock, where consolatory remarks were made by Elders Thomas Sleight, Amasa m Rich, Pres. W W Richards, Elder F Allred of St Charles and Bishop H Humpherys of Paris, who each in turn praised the noble character possessed by the deceased and at being a faithful wife and mother.

The floral offerings were very beautiful, being mostly designed by our home florist, Mr. John Norton.
