Bates Allred

CALLED HOME
Little Bates Allred passed away Thursday morning August 24. His death was the result of the accident that befell him last week, Aug. 15, when he fell on the tines of a pitchfork. It was thought that the little fellow was on the road to recovery but a change for the worst come and the Lord, in His wisdom called him home.
Bates was a bright lovable little boy eight years of age. All that medical skill, kind hearts and loving hand could do, was done for him.
The body was taken to Paris, Idaho for interment in the family burial ground. The entire community extend their sympathy to Brother and Sister Allred in their sad bereavement. May He who alone can comfort, send them consolation in their hour of sorrow. (Rich Co news)
The funeral of the little boy took place from the family residence to Paris Saturday last. A large number of friends of the family from the surrounding settlements and from Star Valley were in attendance. At the Cemetery the Shepherd Brothers sang a beautiful hymn and the grave was dedicated by Elder Edward Pugmire. We very sincerely sympathize with the family under their sad bereavement. (Post)
